Welcome!

I am dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and build safer, more connected relationships. Whether through prevention or intervention, my work is grounded in compassion and the belief that healing is always possible.

I support individuals, teens, and communities in creating connection and resilience, through counselling, workshops, and educational talks.

Whether you are seeking individual support or are looking to engage a group in education about relationships, I am here to help build the skills for safer, healthier relationships.

If your focus is on prevention, we explore topics such as:

  • Learning what healthy relationships really look like

  • Building skills to prevent harmful patterns before they start

  • Understanding boundaries, consent, and respectful communication

If your focus is on intervention, we explore topics such as:

  • Healing from past or ongoing experiences of abuse or unhealthy relationships

  • Rebuilding your sense of safety, self-worth, and connection

A little about me.... I'm Alysia Elliott!

I graduated from the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO) in 2016. Starting with an undergrad in Psychology, I then went on to the Master of Social Work (MSW) program’s clinical stream. Throughout my career I have supported individuals experiencing criminal justice involvement, addictions, chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, depression, and many other complex mental health and psychosocial challenges. Willowstead Counselling and Consulting was inspired by the majestic willow tree known for its strength and resilience. Willows thrive in various conditions, their roots deeply anchored in the ground, symbolizing stability and grounding. This essence of the willow tree translates into the space I strive to offer at Willowstead, where individuals are supported to find their strength and stability amongst all of life's challenges. Embracing the spirit of the willow tree, which bends but never breaks, I will help encourage you to navigate life's challenges with resilience and adaptability, fostering a sense of empowerment and well-being.
